Saturday July 23rd: 11:30am – 1:00pm: Actor Monologue Showcase Competition (Main Showroom)
The Southeast’s most talented Actors/Actresses will be set to showcase their best performances and wow the audience and judges with an engaging monologue where they can be in full character, wardrobe, makeup and more. Looking for lead talent for your next project? This is where you need to be! All conference attendees will get to see their performances.

JUDGING
Judging will be rated 1 – 5 based on 7 things.
• Use of Voice – If I open my eyes, I see you looking like this person, perhaps with costume or props, but certainly with body language and movement.
• Use of Body – You create a unique, emotionally resonant, complex, funny and/or surprising character.
• Character – You create a unique, emotionally resonant, complex, funny and/or surprising character
• Audience – Whom the character is speaking to is clear.
• Situation – This is a high-stakes moment that reveals the character’s personality through how they behave while in conflict, or through the confession of something big.
• Interaction – (Dialogue) Is the flow & push of focus smooth?
• Other Requirements – Memorized? Over the time limit?
