MONOLOGUE COMPETITION
Yep, it’s BACK! You will literally have only 60secs to show the audience and crowd how great of an actor you are! WINNER will receive $100, Complimentary Access Passes to the Indie Film Loop Conference & will also be chosen as one of the Showcasing Actors for the weekend!
YOUR IN FRONT OF WHO YOU NEED TO BE
The Southeast Region has so much great acting talent that we thought it would be a great idea to be able to see some of the best up and coming talents showcase what they can do!
As a participant, you will be in front of directors, producers, casting directors and more and they are potentially looking to add you to their next BIG project!
Plus, the WINNER of the night will receive $100 in CASH!!!
DETAILS
• Prizes: $100 CASH
• Entry Fee: Price Of Admission
• Monologue Video Submission Entry Date: MAY 1st
• Monologue Video Submission Deadline: JUNE 1st at 12am
(Early Submissions will get first priority of slots if they qualify so submit early! A Limit of 12 Slots Are Available)
• ALL Official Selected Participants will be notified as they are selected starting on Friday May 22nd (SUBMIT EARLY TO SECURE A SPOT)
• 3 – 6 Reserve Participants will be notified as well in case the initial selections do not show up. So, Be ready to impress!

COMPETITION REGISTRATION / SUBMISSION
Registration will be based on a pre-screening process. Video monologues should be submitted to email: monoCompetition@indiefilmloop.com and no more than two minutes long. However, your monologue needs to be ONLY 60 Secs for the contest. Any participant that goes over during the event will have points deducted. But, their will be a 5 second grace period.
Reserve List: Getting to the event early will be highly suggested. If we have any slots left we will notify you during the event Slots will be limited to ONLY 10 – 12 spots! We advise you to send a link or video of you doing your monologue so that we can see what you can do! If you are really good we will lock you in a slot and notify you as such!
Doors open at 6:15 and the show starts promptly at 8:00pm! Good Luck!
JUDGING
Participants will be judged by our panel of experts on the basis of preparedness, emotional connection to the material, and commitment to the performance.
1) A 1 Round competition that will include 10 – 12 participants
2) Judges will eliminate all participants up to the last 3 based on a scale
3) The Audience will select the final Winner of the 3 through interactive polling!
Your time to impress industry professionals is now! Make them feel emotionally connected to your piece and be the Loop Monologue Winner of the night and potentially open the door to more opportunities!!!
RULES
1) Each Contestant will have 60 seconds to impress! Make it memorable! Don’t Go Over!
2) More than 5 seconds over the allotted time will have points deducted.
3) Monologues chosen are completely up to the participant but you must provide your own (comedy, drama, etc. It’s up to you!) But, if you have done a monologue with us before we ask that you choose a new one to keep it fresh.
4) Keep the profanity down to a minimum
Submissions must not be over 2 minutes for you to qualify as an entrant. But, your performance day may not go over 1 minute.

*ENTRY FEES: Their are no entry fees associated with our Monthly Competitions but, so that we can keep things going and are able to award prizes, secure locations, etc. we ask that ALL event attendees have pay the door fee of $10. Competition participants will never have to pay over $10.
